Computer vision and image generation

What the unit teaches

Choose the computer vision task for a scenario: image classification, object detection, segmentation, OCR, captioning and tagging, face detection or face recognition
Explain at intuition level how models see (CNN filters, vision transformers) and how diffusion models generate images
Decide between Azure Vision in Foundry Tools, a multimodal model with image input, and Content Understanding, knowing that Image Analysis 4.0 has a published retirement date
Tell image understanding (image in, text out) apart from image generation (text in, image out) and name current generation models in Foundry
Weigh the cost and responsible-use constraints of vision: tokens per image, per-image generation pricing and limits, accuracy limits, Limited Access for face recognition, content filtering of prompts and images
